So yesterday I cleaned the bathroom with a gallon of bleach. I’ve cleaned it before, but without encouraging results. So this time I used more chemicals. Anyway, I discovered that the tub was not originally a shade of ivory like I assumed it was. Yes, a three hour soak in bleach revealed a WHITE tub – and made me wonder about the last tenants.
Anyway, the cleaning extended well past Addie’s nap time, so I let her wander around the house while I finished. At some point, I realised that it sounded like she was talking a LOT more than normal. I assumed she was doing something bad, like sitting on the table and playing with my computer. (A lot of times, she climbs onto things and then is so proud of herself that she talks excitedly until someone notices.) Anyway, she wasn’t on the table. She was sitting in her favorite chair, with her feet up, chatting on the phone. Which was hilarious, until I realized she’d actually called someone and had been talking with them for like 5 full minutes. Luckily, she’d called my mom… but seriously, my phone bill was way high last month, and I think I know why.
She did it while I wasn’t home. Thankfully, the room seemed very well ventilated. She had the sense to put a fan in the window right above the tub to suck out the fumes. Nevertheless, I made sure to make an annoyed comment. Or two.
I don’t think we should have our babies fight. I am going to try and raise a sensitive singer songwriter, and I don’t know if he’ll be able to beat up a tough Chicago kid….
Also, I am glad Refe managed a perturbed comment. I hope he wasn’t standing in front of the microwave when he said it.
I had a dream about addie this morning. She was standing in a little pink patterned swimsuit in a kiddie pool holding a big chocolate chip cookie, which she was munching on. She held the cookie out in front of her, looked at it a minute, then dropped it in the water where she let if float for a couple seconds, then picked it up and continued eating the soggy cookie. lol.
Ha ha. Awesome dream, Copper.
Who doesn’t love pool water cookies? I personally loved pool water oreos in my youth.
I never jumped on the pool cookie trend myself. But I’m sure it made it easier to chew when you didn’t have all your teeth!
