Addie is growing up so fast. It seems like just yesterday she was a tiny, puffy, immobile little bundle of pink. Now, just one year later, she toddles around the house like she owns the place. She figured out how to turn the TV on the other day and push in a video tape (as long as the video is left part of the way in already of course). Addie walks over to the nearest blanket , pulling it over to her infant carseat -which has now become her favorite lounge chair – and will sit, perfectly content, until the video ends. Little signs of independence have already surfaced. She no longer wants us to feed her anything, she wants to do it herself. She loves using the little fork her great grandmother gave her for her birthday. When did all this happen?
Well, it’s about to happen all over again…
Susan and I are very excited to officially announce that Baby 2 is on the way! We figured it out just before Susan’s birthday, when some of the tell tale signs (ie: morning sickness) began to appear. The second morning that Susan said she felt a little nauseous I volunteered to make a visit to the neighborhood Walgreens. Sure enough – two bright pink lines. This time we didn’t bother to do a “control test,” (if you don’t know what I’m talking about, just know that the tests come in three-packs, and Susan only used two with Addie…)
(Refe had to go to work…so now this is Susan)
Woo hoo! We are incredibly excited – expect to meet the little one some time this winter. We have affectionately dubbed him/her “Baby 2ma.” (Don’t strain yourself trying to figure that out – just say it out loud.) We’re not sure how to communicate the whole thing to Adeia, other than pointing to her doll and saying, “Baby,” and then pointing to my stomach. I’d pay a lot to know what she’s translated that into…
Apparently the caffeine isn’t helping you much….
