Well, today is my birthday. So I decided Adeia and I were going to watch some TV and bond. Of course, our TV isn’t hooked up yet, but I do have one of those free Sesame Street episodes on my itunes.
All was well for 12 minutes and 37 seconds…. Adeia had now become pretty sure the characters were real, and slid herself closer and closer to the screen. I decided m when she maybe it was time for a new activity when she offered her pacifier to Mr. Hoots (Elmo’s owl friend, who plays the sax). When he seemed to decline it, she set it very carefully on my keyboard and backed up a bit, perhaps to try to coax him through the screen…. Maybe he’s shy?
Anyway, I got to sleep in til 8:30 this morning, because Adeia did, and that’s the best present she could give me.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
Hope the rest of your day was as good as sleeping til 8:30. (Way to go, Addie!)
We’re looking forward to seeing both of our birthday girls this weekend.
Enjoy the rest of your day!
I hope you have had an amazing birthday. ^-^
Super groovy b-dizay from the James clan!
(Since you’ll be hearing the same thing over and over to day I thought I’d spice it up a bit for you. Consider that your card and gift.)
wow, hey since it’s your day after birthday, don’t forget to send me that book on making babies sleep. I am very attached to my snoozes.
Oh, is you baby not sleeping? I don’t think the book will help much – it’s hard to let a baby “cry it out” before they make noise. Perhaps try rocking back and forth all night long.
Oh……… you mean for after it’s born. Right….
hahahaha very funny, just fed ex it to me or something. You know I am NOT into having my snoozes stolen for 9 months AFTER the baby is born. Not cool.
Happy Belated Birthday! Wow, I didn’t realize that was this week. Congratulations on surviving a year of motherhood.
I hope you had a good day!
Oh, and if any of you DO find a book with the magical cure for sleepless babies, PLEASE let me know. I’m beginning to think the circles under my eyes will be permanent. Oh well, they’re cute and it’s all worth it
Pam, I volunteer to take your baby and drive it to Chicago for two weeks while Susan trains her how to sleep.
P.S. You are always lovely, and you do not have bags under your eyes….
oops that was me, Jennifer. That would have been a tad odd coming from Aaron….
