At about 11 o’clock yesterday, I began peeling 17 pounds of potatoes. To give you some perspective, the potatoes weighed more than Adeia.
At noon, Kristin and I stood in front of four giant pots of boiling potatoes.
And at 1:30, we mashed. And mashed. Ok, actually, I never mashed. Kristen and Refe mashed.
At three, 24 people from Ben’s family showed up. Wow. But fun! With them arrived food, food, and more food. Sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, ham, turkey, stuffing, salad, pie, a tart made by Ben’s Granny made…and much chaos and fun ensued.
As you can see, fun was had by all, and Adeia cleaned up. That turkey bone (while disgusting looking) kept Addie amused for almost 1/2 and hour.
How was all ya’ll’s thanksgiving?
She looks pretty intrigued by the turkey leg. I did the same thing with Abigail, but she still can’t grip that much on her own, or sit up really, so I kind of had to help her hold it, but hold it she did!
Sounds like you guys had a blast! Happy belated Turkey Day. Happy left over day?
She looks so cute! I heard she was gumming at it for hours!
Aww, so cute! Can’t wait to see you all at Christmas!! Just a few short weeks!!!!!!
I see Addie with a turkey BONE and a banana PEEL… Do you ever give the poor kid any real FOOD? :>)
Glad you had a nice Thanksgiving. We missed you here, but we had a really good time. We had our normal noisy, fun, crowded table and crazy conversation. Looking forward to you guys being part of it at Christmas!
Love you!
